The Nicholson House, the oldest surviving structure in Lakewood, can bring classic elegance to your very special event. Built in 1835, the home is regarded as one of the most authentic examples of New England architecture in northern Ohio.
The exterior reflects the natural evolution of a pioneer home, with a final back section added in the mid 1800s and a second-story addition around 1900.
The widowed Betsey Nicholson undertook a major renovation around 1870. The result was Victorian-era splendor lavishly displayed throughout the home, including four wonderful parlors which help to create an enchanting mood for virtually any social gathering.
